Trouble Shooting Our Stream

Media Player Requirements:

You must have the latest version of QuickTime Player or Real Player with QuickTime Plugins installed.  You must have QuickTime Player or Real Player set as you’re primary media player in order to listen to this QuickTime audio stream.

Troubleshooting: 

Having trouble listening to our Audio Stream?  We know these are simple suggestions, but follow the all the questions below, you would be surprised how many times the error is just a simple oversight.

• Nothing is playing and you see only a big QuickTime “Q” with a question mark in it.  You’re having QuickTime glitch – - Refresh the page.
• Pop-up feed doesn’t work.  Make sure Java is installed, and Pop-Up Blocker is turned off. 
• I Have Quicktime but it doesn’t work.  Do you have the latest version of QuickTime Player?  Is QuickTime Player or RealPlayer your primary media player?  Usually the last media player installed becomes the default media driver.
• Sometimes depending on your settings, you’ll hear a small blip of music then silence for 30 seconds before the QuickTime audio stream starts playing normally.  This is merely QuickTime’s buffer spooling up the audio stream for continuous play.  
• If you can’t see the embedded Quicktime player, and no sound streams at you, install Quicktime player, or update your old version.
• Are your speakers plugged into your computer, powered up and volume turned up?  Be sure to check your entire speaker wiring and power supply. You’d be surprised how often this is the case.
• Is your audio driver sending sound to the speakers?  Computer preferences might not be set properly to provide audio to external speakers. 
• Are you behind a firewall? This could be blocking the signal.  Some work environments will block audio streams.
• Our stream might be down.  It happens sometimes, check back later.  You may get a 5408 or a 404 error code when we go down.
